1. Qi and Blood Deficiency
Clinical manifestations: Persistent fatigue, pale complexion, dizziness, heart palpitations, numbness worsens after exertion, poor appetite.
Tongue: Pale body with possible teeth marks, thin white coating. Pulse: Fine and weak.
Treatment principle: Tonify Qi and nourish Blood to restore nourishment to the hands.
Note: moxa applicable throughout. This site's decks have no combined Qi-and-Blood-deficiency slide (confirmed absent many times before), so no pattern link is given — points still link fine individually.
Clinical manifestations: Prickling, pins-and-needles sensation, worse at night or with stillness, dark nail beds, fixed stabbing pain may accompany numbness, dusky facial complexion.
Tongue: Purple or dusky body with stasis spots, distended dark sublingual veins. Pulse: Choppy.
Treatment principle: Invigorate Blood circulation and dispel stasis to open blocked channels.
Note: no moxa. Direct match with this site's own Liver-Blood-stasis slide via the well-established dark/purple stasis-spot-tongue marker.
3. Phlegm in the Channels, Joints and Muscles
Clinical manifestations: Heavy, crawling sensation, swollen/stiff/puffy fingers, chest tightness, worse in damp environments and with rich foods.
Tongue: Purple body with stasis spots, white greasy coating, distended sublingual veins. Pulse: Wiry and choppy, or wiry and slippery.
Treatment principle: Dry Dampness and transform Phlegm to clear turbid obstruction from the channels.
Note: no moxa. This site's confirmed-absent generic Phlegm-in-the-channels category (Astigmatism, Bone Pain), so no pattern link is given here; points still link fine individually.
Clinical manifestations: Numbness/tingling in the hands, severe dizziness or vertigo, hand or head tremor, stiff neck, throbbing headache, irritability, flushed face and red eyes.
Tongue: Red body, stiff or trembling, possibly deviated, thin yellow or scanty coating. Pulse: Wiry, fine, possibly rapid.
Treatment principle: Subdue rising Liver-Yang and extinguish internal Wind to restore smooth flow.
Note: moxa applicable on SP-6 only. Matched to this site's own Liver-Fire-generating-Wind slide — the explicit hand/head tremor is exactly the marker that reserves this slide over plain Liver-Yang rising, the same rule used for Muscle Spasm, Hand Tremor, Seizures and TIA.
Clinical manifestations: Heart palpitations, insomnia with excessive dreaming, poor appetite and bloating, pale complexion, anxious overthinking.
Tongue: Pale, puffy body with teeth marks, thin white coating. Pulse: Fine and weak, empty at the Heart position, soft at the Spleen position.
Treatment principle: Strengthen Heart and Spleen to generate adequate Qi and Blood for the extremities.
Note: moxa applicable throughout. Linked to this site's Spleen-and-Heart-Blood-deficiency slide via its own palpitations/poor-memory symptom set, the same match used for Delayed Speech Development, Hallucinations and Apathy.
