1. Painful Obstruction With Wind-Cold-Damp
Clinical manifestations: Pain worsens in cold, damp weather, elbow stiffness and difficulty moving, heaviness or numbness in the forearm, pain relieved by warmth and gentle movement, no redness or warmth at the elbow.
Tongue: Pale, slightly swollen with teeth marks, white greasy coating. Pulse: Wiry and tight, slow, or soggy.
Treatment principle: Dispels Wind-Dampness, tonifies Qi and harmonizes the Protective and Nutritive Qi, invigorates Blood and unblocks the channels.
Note: moxa applicable given the Cold-Damp signs. This site has no organ-nonspecific Wind-Cold-Damp Bi-syndrome slide on any deck, a gap confirmed absent many times over this session — no pattern link is given here; points still link fine individually.
2. Painful Obstruction Due to Damp-Heat in the Channels
Clinical manifestations: Burning pain, redness and swelling, hot to the touch, worse with warmth, better with cold, thirst present.
Tongue: Red body, possibly swollen, yellow greasy coating. Pulse: Slippery and rapid.
Treatment principle: Clears Heat and drains Dampness, unblocks the channels and collaterals, relieves painful obstruction.
Note: no moxa. This site has no Damp-Heat-in-the-channels (non-organ-specific) slide on any deck, a gap confirmed absent many times over this session — no pattern link is given here; points still link fine individually.
3. Painful Obstruction With Qi and Blood Deficiency
Clinical manifestations: Dull ache at the elbow, worsens with fatigue or overuse, numbness or tingling in the forearm, general fatigue and lack of strength, pale face, sensitivity to cold.
Tongue: Pale, possibly thin with teeth marks, thin white coating. Pulse: Fine and weak, may be slow.
Treatment principle: Tonifies Qi, nourishes Blood, strengthens the Spleen.
Note: moxa applicable on ST-36. This site has no combined Qi-and-Blood-deficiency slide, a gap confirmed absent many times over this session — no pattern link is given here; points still link fine individually.
4. Painful Obstruction With Liver and Kidney Deficiency
Clinical manifestations: Dull, aching elbow pain worsening with cold or damp, lower back and knee soreness or weakness, fatigue and lack of stamina, numbness or tingling in the limbs, preference for warmth, aversion to cold.
Tongue: Pale, thin body, thin white coating. Pulse: Fine, weak, and slow, Chi position particularly weak, left Guan may be wiry but thin.
Treatment principle: Dispels Wind-Dampness, relieves painful obstruction, supplements the Liver and Kidneys.
Note: moxa applicable on KI-3/BL-23. The Cold/warmth-preferring framing here doesn't cleanly fit this site's own Kidney-and-Liver-Yin-deficiency slide (which is Empty-Heat framed), and this site has no plain combined Liver-and-Kidney (non-Yin-specific) deficiency slide either — no pattern link is given here; points still link fine individually.
