Fear

How Chinese medicine differentiates fear — a signal from the organ systems, not a single emotion — into the five patterns you'll actually meet in practice, and the points for each. Distinct from this site's own Easily Startled page. Acupuncture only — no herbs.

This page is educational, for practitioners and students — it is not a diagnostic tool and does not replace a proper in-person assessment. Fear that is overwhelming, constant, or linked to panic attacks or trauma benefits from professional mental health support alongside anything offered here.
