1. Wind-Cold-Damp Invading with Qi Deficiency
Clinical manifestations: Muscle stiffness and aching worsened by cold or damp weather, heaviness and aching in the limbs, fatigue and low energy, aversion to wind and cold, numbness or tingling in the limbs.
Tongue: Pale, puffy, teeth-marked body with white greasy coating. Pulse: Soft and weak, possibly floating, with a soggy quality.
Treatment principle: Dispel Wind-Dampness, tonify Qi, invigorate Blood, unblock the channels and collaterals.
Note: moxa applicable on the tonifying point. No deck on this site combines Wind-Cold-Damp invasion with an underlying Qi deficiency into one slide, a confirmed and recurring absence, so no pattern link is given here.
2. Painful Obstruction due to Damp-Heat in the Channels
Clinical manifestations: Muscles feel hot, heavy and swollen, tension eases with cold and worsens with warmth, thirst and irritability, dark scanty urine.
Tongue: Red body, possibly slightly swollen, with yellow greasy coating. Pulse: Slippery and rapid.
Treatment principle: Clear Heat, drain Dampness, unblock the channels and collaterals, relieve painful obstruction.
Note: no moxa. No deck on this site has a Damp-Heat-in-channels Bi-syndrome category, a confirmed and recurring absence, so no pattern link is given here.
Clinical manifestations: Fixed, stabbing or boring pain, stiffness worse after inactivity and better with gentle movement, pain worsens with pressure or touch, dark or purplish complexion, lips or nail beds.
Tongue: Purple or dark body with scattered stasis spots, distended tortuous sublingual veins, thin white coat. Pulse: Wiry and choppy.
Treatment principle: Invigorate Blood, dispel stasis, unblock the channels, move Qi.
Note: no moxa. Matches this site's Liver-Blood stasis slide — a purple/dark tongue with stasis spots is the same discoloration marker named there.
Clinical manifestations: Dull aching stiffness worse at night, weakness and soreness of the lower back and knees, dry eyes, blurred vision or night sweats.
Tongue: Red, thin body with cracks, little or no coating, dry surface. Pulse: Fine, rapid and wiry, weak at left Chi.
Treatment principle: Nourish Kidney-Yin, benefit Essence and fill Marrow, nourish Blood.
Note: no moxa. Direct match, reusing the well-established Kidney-and-Liver-Yin-deficiency slide.
5. Wind-Phlegm
Clinical manifestations: Muscles feel stiff and heavy, not just tight, numbness or tingling in the hands and feet, dizziness or a spinning sensation, copious white or frothy sputum in the throat.
Tongue: Normal or slightly pale, swollen with teeth marks, white greasy coating. Pulse: Wiry and slippery.
Treatment principle: Transform Wind-Phlegm, stop spasms, strengthen the Spleen, resolve Dampness.
Note: no moxa. No deck on this site has a combined Wind-Phlegm category outside the Lungs, a confirmed and recurring absence, so no pattern link is given here.
