Tongue: Pale, moist, flaccid, thin white slippery coating. Pulse: Minute and on the verge of disappearing, extremely faint at all positions, may be impalpable.
Treatment principle: Restore the body's warming force through powerful tonification of original Qi and warming.

Treatment principle: Rescue the collapsed Heart-Yang while anchoring the spirit and preventing fluid loss.
3. Collapse of Yin
Clinical manifestations: Profuse hot sticky sweat like oily beads, a burning hot body with warm hands and feet, extreme thirst with a desire for cold drinks, intense restlessness and agitation.
Tongue: Deep red or crimson, completely dry, no coating (mirror tongue), possibly cracked and shrunken. Pulse: Fine, rapid, forceless, may feel scattered or hollow.
Treatment principle: Replenish the depleted cooling fluids while tonifying Qi to anchor the unmoored warming force.
