Cracked Tongue

How Chinese medicine differentiates a cracked tongue — a classic diagnostic finding checked on exam — into the five patterns you'll actually meet in practice, and the points for each. Distinct from this site's own Dry Tongue page. Acupuncture only — no herbs.

This page is educational, for practitioners and students — it is not a diagnostic tool and does not replace a proper in-person assessment. A cracked tongue is one diagnostic sign among many — always weigh it alongside the pulse, symptoms, and history.
