Dry Mouth

How Chinese medicine differentiates dry mouth into the five patterns you'll actually meet in practice, and the points for each. Distinct from this site's own Dry Throat page. Acupuncture only β€” no herbs.

This page is educational, for practitioners and students β€” it is not a diagnostic tool and does not replace a proper in-person assessment. Persistent dry mouth alongside dry eyes needs medical evaluation to rule out SjΓΆgren's syndrome or a medication side effect before assuming a simple pattern.
