Feeling of Heat

How Chinese medicine differentiates a generalized, subjective feeling of heat into the six patterns you'll actually meet in practice, and the points for each. Distinct from this site's own Heat Intolerance and Head Heat Sensation pages. Acupuncture only — no herbs.

This page is educational, for practitioners and students — it is not a diagnostic tool and does not replace a proper in-person assessment. A persistent or unexplained feeling of heat needs a full medical work-up before assuming a simple TCM pattern.
