Incoherent or Confused Speech

How Chinese medicine differentiates incoherent or confused speech into the six patterns you'll actually meet in practice, and the points for each. Distinct from this site's Confusion and Delayed Speech Development pages. Acupuncture only β€” no herbs.

This page is educational, for practitioners and students β€” it is not a diagnostic tool and does not replace a proper in-person assessment. Sudden confused or incoherent speech, especially with fever, head injury, or one-sided weakness, is a medical emergency β€” seek immediate care.
