Clinical manifestations: Dry cough with little or no phlegm, afternoon tidal heat or low-grade fever, night sweats, dry throat and mouth, feeling of heat in the palms, soles and chest.

Tongue: N Pulse: o

Treatment principle: red, thin body with cracks, little or no coating, dry surface,fine and rapid, especially weak at the right forward position

2. Lung Yang Deficiency

Clinical manifestations: Copious thin, watery, frothy white sputum, feeling of cold in the chest and upper back, aversion to cold with cold hands and feet, no thirst with preference for warm drinks, spontaneous sweating and pale complexion.

Tongue: W Pulse: a

Treatment principle: pale, puffy, moist body with teeth marks, thin white slippery coating,deep, slow, weak, especially at the right forward position

Clinical manifestations: Difficulty breathing in (exhaling easier than inhaling), lower back soreness and weakness, fatigue and lack of stamina.

Treatment principle: pale, puffy, with teeth marks and thin white moist coating,deep and weak, especially feeble at the rear position
