4. Damp-Phlegm
Clinical manifestations: Heavy sensation in the body and limbs, chest stuffiness or oppression, brain fog, copious white easily expectorated phlegm, nausea or poor appetite.
Tongue: Pale, swollen body with scalloped teeth marks and a thick white greasy coating that looks oily. Pulse: Slippery, like beads rolling through oil, may feel slightly soggy.
Treatment principle: Dry Dampness and transform Phlegm, regulate Qi, harmonize the middle burner.
Note: no moxa. No deck on this site has a combined Damp-Phlegm category outside the Lungs, a confirmed and recurring absence, so no pattern link is given here.
Clinical manifestations: Fixed stabbing pain worsening at night, dark menstrual blood with clots, dusky or dark facial complexion, typically follows trauma, surgery, or prolonged illness.
Tongue: Dark purple or dusky body with stasis spots, distended dark sublingual veins, thin white coat. Pulse: Choppy or wiry.
Treatment principle: Invigorate Blood and dispel stasis, move Qi and alleviate pain.
Note: no moxa. Same underlying Liver-Blood-stasis slide as pattern 1 — the source distinguishes a Qi-and-Blood-stagnation variant from a pure Blood-stagnation variant, but this site's single Liver-Blood-stasis slide covers both.
