Frequent Urination

How Chinese medicine differentiates frequent urination — distinct from Excessive Urination (Polyuria), Nocturia and Strangury already covered, where the emphasis is on volume, night-time timing, or painful voiding rather than frequency itself — the six patterns you'll actually meet in practice, and the points for each. Acupuncture only — no herbs.

This page is educational, for practitioners and students — it is not a diagnostic tool and does not replace a proper in-person assessment. Frequent urination with burning, blood, fever, or unexplained weight change needs medical evaluation before assuming a simple pattern.
